Unicode characters appear in the administrator console

If you see Unicode characters in the administrator console when the locale of your computer is set to EN-US, it indicates that the administrator console installation is corrupt. To correct this issue, perform the following procedure:

1. Install the same version of JRE that was installed with the administrator console:
   
   • (Microsoft Windows remote admin), Install JRE version 1.7.0_05.
   • (Solaris remote admin), Install JRE version 1.7.0_05.
2. Open admin.cmd in the edit mode.
3. Set JAVA_HOME to point to the location of the JRE version 1.7 or the version that you installed in step 1.
4. Save the changes.

You must be able to see the correct characters.
