Configuring encryption

You can encrypt communication among the various Infrastructure Management components. To enable encryption, make the appropriate settings in the following locations

  • The cell's configuration file, mcell.conf.
  • The CLI configuration file, mclient.conf. 
  • The BMC Impact Administration Server (IAS) used by the administration console.
  • The cell directory file, installationDirectory\pw\server\etc\mcell.dir by default.
