pw system

The pw system command starts, stops, and provides the status for the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server processes, and lets you change the host name or IP address of the computer where the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server is installed. 

To view help information, run the following command:

pw system

The following pw system commands are available:

  • pw system start 
  • pw system status 
  • pw system stop 
  • pw system change hostname <newhostname>
  • pw system configureipv6
  • pw system portcheck

pw system start

The pw system start command stops and then restarts BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server processes.

Open the command prompt using the Run as administrator option and run the following command: 

pw system start

The BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server processes are stopped, restarted, and the message "Successfully brought up Infrastructure Management" is displayed.
