shutdown CLI command

Use this command to shut down the Indexers running in your environment.

Note

If there are multiple Indexers instances running in your environment, then by running this command all Indexer instances are shut down.

BMC recommends that instead of stopping individual Indexers, use this command to stop all the Indexers in your environment. This is important when the Indexers are deployed on more than one host.

Warning

Stopping the individual Indexer nodes can result in data loss and performance degradation.
