Accessing the console


This topic explains how to access the TrueSight IT Data Analytics (or IT Data Analytics) console.

Use one of the following options:

  • Navigate to Start > All Programs > BMC Software > TrueSight > IT Data Analytics > Launch ITDA Console.
    Note: The Launch ITDA Console option opens the product in your default browser.
  • Go to http://hostName:port/console/

Go to http://hostName:port/console/.

The hostName:port variable refers to the host name and corresponding port number of the Console Server. The default port numbers are: (http9797 and (https) 9443. For information about supported ports, see Communication ports and protocols.

Recommendation

BMC recommends you to use an HTTPS connection to access the IT Data Analytics console.

After starting the product, access the product console, by using one of the following default credentials (based on your role) or by using the credentials provided by the Super Admin.

The capability of accessing the product console depends on the mechanism that you are using for managing users and user groups. For more information, see Authenticating-users-with-Remedy-Single-Sign-On-or-IT-Data-Analytics.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
