Version upgrade

You can now upgrade IT Data Analytics and standalone Collection Agents from version 2.5.00 or 2.7.00.

Consumption Data report

TrueSight Operations Management now supports consumption-based usage reports. The consumption-based usage report in TrueSight Operations Management gives you the ability to understand your consumption patterns for IT Data Analytics.

Change in the authentication platform support

Remedy Single Sign-On support

TrueSight IT Data Analytics now supports Remedy Single Sign-On. You can use IT Data Analytics standalone as before, but now you can also use Remedy Single Sign-On to authenticate. However, if you want to use Remedy Single Sign-On, you must ensure that you have integrated with TrueSight Presentation Server, which has the same Remedy Single Sign Sign-On.

TrueSight IT Data Analytics supports the following authentication types:

  • Local
  • LDAP
  • SAML v2

Changes to the default Realm

With Remedy Single Sign-On support all the references to BmcRealm tenant in the TrueSight Operations Management solution have been updated to point to the * (asterisk) default realm. A realm in Remedy Single Sign-On is equivalent to a tenant in TrueSight Operations Management.

Support for BMC Atrium Single Sign-On discontinued

TrueSight IT Data Analytics 11.0 does not support BMC Atrium Single Sign-On.

Anomaly detection

Automatic anomaly detection

Anomaly detection is now enabled by default. If you are upgrading from a previous version of IT Data Analytics, the settings, which you had specified for Anomaly Detection will be carried forward to the next version.

The Out-of-range type of anomaly is now referred to as Outliers.

The Anomaly detection feature is now enhanced by showing visual indicators for historical data, range and trends.

TrueSight IT Data Analytics now includes out-of-box support for coalescing for TrueSight Infrastructure Management, Remedy Action Request System (ARS) and Windows events.

CLI command changes

The following changes have been made to CLI commands:


  • The new configureanomaly CLI command allows you to to enable or disable anomaly detection.
    Though anomaly detection is enabled by default in this release, this command can be useful for scenarios where you are upgrading from earlier versions of IT Data Analytics.
