Versions 6.5.00 and 6.5 SP1 can cause a hard lockup on TS-1200 appliance


TS-1200 hardware systems version 6.5.00 or 6.5.01 (Service Pack 1) have encountered problems that cause the system to lock up completely and unexpectedly. 

Problem

This problem affects all BMC TrueSight End User Monitor 1200 Series systems that begin with serial ID TS12 (such as, TS12-05-0C-D-0141), and also includes the BMC Real End User Experience Hardware Collector (1200 series) version 2.5. If this issue occurs, the system can become unresponsive or continuously reboot. 

Workaround

Do not upgrade to version 6.5.x. If your system is running version 6.5.x, it is possible to roll back to an earlier version.

Compatibility note for TS-1200 Collectors

You can use the 6.0.x Hardware Collector with the 2.5.x versions of BMC Application Performance Management Console and Real User Analyzer.
