Allocating and managing resource quotas for tenants
Allocate and manage resource quotas available to individual Tenants, which are shared by Reservation items. You can associate multiple Reservation items to use the resources allocated to a tenant. You can view and manage tenants added to the domain set as the root domain for the Tenants tab.

Before you begin
You must complete the following tasks before using this feature:
- Tenants can be imported using Out-of-the-box-ETLs such as the OpenStack-OpenStack-API-Extractor-Service.
- Alternatively, you can add a domain from the Workspace tab. Click Add > Add subdomains with Domain type set to Tenant. For more information, see Creating-a-domain.
- Set the Associate reservations with tenants option to Yes from the Settings page.
- Select a Tenant domain as Root domain for tenant hierarchy from the Settings page.
Viewing the list of Tenants
Click Reservation > Tenants to view the complete list of tenants

Viewing details for a Tenant and setting the quota
Click a tenant from the list to view the details for a tenant. The Tenant Description and Parent Tenant (if applicable) are displayed.
Quota on allocated resources
The indicative used % and absolute quota values are displayed for each parameter.The indicative used % is the sum of resources used by all reservations in Evaluating Commit, Committed, and Realized state associated to a tenant.
Click to set the quota value for the parameters. This value is the proportional share of resources assigned to the Tenant, and available for use by all Reservations associated with the Tenant. This is the maximum collective value for the resources available to the Reservation items associated to the Tenant.

The list of Reservation items that are associated to the selected Tenant are listed below the tenant details

Capacity Pool | Capacity pool used by the Reservation. The cell is blank if a Capacity Pool was not selected while creating the Reservation. | |||||||||||||||||||||
Requirements | Requirements for the Reservation, such as number of Virtual CPUs, CPU (speed/core fractions), Memory, and Disk space. If you have created a negative reservation, that is, cancelled some of the previously reserved resources, these requirements values are displayed as negative values. | |||||||||||||||||||||
Status | Status for each Reservation: Accepted: The Reservation was accepted as valid, but it is not assigned to any Reservation Target. Pending: The user has defined target Reservation Targets. The confirmation of available resources and assignment on target Reservation Targets is still pending. Evaluating Commit: The Reservation Target has been selected and the Auto Forecasting Service (AFS) is evaluating resource impact of this Reservation. Committed: The Reservation Target was selected and the Reservation is now confirmed. Realized: The provision date of a Reservation has elapsed, but the decommission date has not been reached. Expired: The decommission date of the Reservation has elapsed, or the provision date has elapsed, and the decommission date was not set. Declined: The Reservation request is declined. The Reservation exists, but is ignored by the Auto Forecasting Service (AFS). |
