Working with tag filters

A tag is a text label associated with a TrueSight Capacity Optimization object that improves search results and applies an additional level of filtering where needed. Tags are used to indicate a particular feature of the object that distinguishes it from other objects. TrueSight Capacity Optimization provides a set of useful tags; you can also define custom tags for your specific needs.

Tags are grouped by tag type; for example:

  • Environment, for example, PRODUCTION or TEST
  • Attention level, for example, BUSINESS_CRITICAL
  • Type of service, for example, CRM
  • Tier, for example, BACKEND

To use tag filters in views in the TrueSight console

Tags are available for both out-of-the-box and custom views. To use tags in custom views, first ensure that the tag filter is enabled.

The following video (3:16) explains tag filters in capacity views and illustrates the process of using them with an example.
