Troubleshooting issues with the OpenJDK script
Use the information in this topic to troubleshoot issues that you might encounter while running the OpenJDK script.
Oracle JRE backup folder is not created
This issue occurs due to any of the following reasons:
- Oracle JRE is already in use.
- The system lacks sufficient disk space.
Solution
Do the following:
- Close the session where Oracle JRE is used.
- Ensure that adequate disk space is available on the system.
- Run the script again.
The script fails to recognize the OpenJDK directory
This issue occurs due to any of the following reasons:
- The logged in user does not have access to the directory that contains the OpenJDK files.
- The specified path for the OpenJDK directory is incorrect.
Solution
Do the following:
- Ensure that the logged in user can access the OpenJDK directory, and run the script.
- Specify the correct directory path while running the script.
The script fails to run the OpenJDK files
This issue occurs when the executable permission is not provided for the OpenJDK files.
Solution
Provide the executable permission for the OpenJDK files, and run the script again.
