Troubleshooting capacity views
Issue symptoms
- A view does not report any data.
- An error occurs while loading a view.
Issue scope
These issues might occur in specific out-of-the-box views.

The following error is displayed: BCO_PS_ERR011 - Unable to load the Capacity Views menu due to component internal failure | This error occurs due to some issue with the registration of TrueSight Capacity Optimization plug-in. | Download the TrueSight Capacity Optimization plug-in and register this component again. When registering the component, make sure you always set the port to 8280 as this is the default port for the datahub. |
Investigate study in TrueSight Presentation Server shows systems but creating the study gives a 403 forbidden error. Study cannot be created. | TrueSight Capacity Optimization is configured in TrueSight Presentation Server by using the wrong port. | Connect the TrueSight Capacity Optimization component in TrueSight Presentation Server to port 8280, which should allow for the creation of the Investigate Study. |
A custom capacity view fails with the following error: | Data mart performance issue | This type of problem is related to the performance of a non-materialized data mart. If the data mart took a really long time to return data the View would time out while waiting for the Datamart to return. Use the Network tab of the browser to see what is timing out. |
When you attempt to create a custom view in TrueSight Presentation Server for a data mart with a domain filter selected, the view creation fails with the following error: | This issue occurs due to incorrect configuration of the data mart and application of metadata to the fields. |
Viewing logs
Use the logs to troubleshoot issues with the views.
To view logs from the command line:
- Log on to the Application Server running the datahub.
- Navigate to the following path and check cpit.log* logs:
$CPITBASE/scheduler/log
You can also use the logGrabber utility to collect these logs. For more information about logGrabber, see KA - logGrabber utility (Support logon ID required).
TrueSight Presentation Server logs
To view the TrueSight Presentation Server logs:
- From the command line, access the system where TrueSight Presentation Server is installed.
- Navigate to the following path:
$BMCBASE/TrueSightPServer/truesightpserver/logs - Check the following log files: coApp.log, coRest.log, RestServiceAudit.log
