For more information, see Using-multiple-TrueSight-Capacity-Optimization-instances-with-a-single-Presentation-Server.
(Optional) Register the Gateway Server with TrueSight Capacity Optimization
If you have installed the Gateway Server, you must register it with TrueSight Capacity Optimization to be able to manage and use the Gateway Server from the TrueSight Capacity Optimization console.
This feature is currently supported for Unix only. On Windows, the Gateway Server runs as a Windows service.
The TrueSight Capacity Optimization Wizard is displayed.
The Gateway Servers page displays the name of newly added Gateway Server.
You can view the status of the Gateway Server and other components using the Administration > System > Status page. For details, see Checking-the-status-of-the-product-components-and-backend-services.
Authorize users to access TrueSight Capacity Optimization
Role-based access (RBAC) to the features and components comprised in TrueSight Capacity Optimization is enabled by persona-based authorization profiles. Each authorization profile is associated with one or more BMC Remedy Single Sign-On realms and comprises user groups, roles and permissions. Collectively, the authorization profile components determine the features that users can access. Entity-level access is managed by access groups in the TrueSight Capacity Optimization console. For more information about configuring access control, see Managing access control.
Configure data collection
Configure the required ETL modules to collect data for your infrastructure. The collected data is stored in the Capacity Optimization database. For more information, see Collecting data.
If you want to use the Sentry ETL modules or Moviri ETL modules, download the latest packages from EPD and deploy them.
The Home page of the TrueSight Capacity Optimization console displays the list of these tasks along with the status. For details, see Getting-started-with-the-TrueSight-Capacity-Optimization-console.
