Setting up data collection for Microsoft Hyper-V

For information about managing performance in a Microsoft Hyper-V environment, see:

Setting up data collection for Hyper-V

To implement the Gateway Server in a Hyper-V environment, you must:

  1. Run the installation program on a Hyper-V server according to the instructions in Installing-the-Capacity-Agent.
  2. Set up a Manager script to automatically collect, transfer, and process data from the Hyper-V environment.

What data is collected from Hyper-V environments?

The data collector gathers physical system configuration for the Host Server and selected performance data for each guest. The data available for each guest includes CPU usage, total disk I/O and network traffic through each network interface.
