Viewing managed applications


From the Application Management page in the TrueSight console, you can view the configuration of all your applications.

To view the applications to be managed

Select Configuration > Applications from the navigation pane.
The Application Management page displays all the applications that you can monitor in Operations Management as shown in the following figure.

The following table describes the different elements of the Application Management page:

Action menu


Displays Edit, Delete, and Download End-User Monitoring Script options. If you are logged in with Application Administration-level access, you can perform the following actions:

Application Name



Displays the name of the application. You can perform the following actions:

Type


Displays the application types. Select an application type from the list below the column title to filter by type:

Synthetic


Displays whether synthetic monitoring is enabled for the application. Applications with synthetic monitoring enabled have Execution Plans associated with them. Select an option from the list below the column title to filter applications by synthetic monitoring enabled or disabled. Following options are available:

  • ON: Displays applications with synthetic monitoring enabled.
  • OFF: Displays applications with synthetic monitoring disabled.
  • Any: Displays all the applications with synthetic monitoring enabled and disabled.

End-User Monitoring

Displays whether the end-user monitoring is enabled for the application. Select an option from the list below the column title to filter applications by end-user monitoring enabled or disabled. Following options are available:

  • ON: Displays applications with end-user monitoring enabled.
  • OFF: Displays applications with end-user monitoring disabled.
  • Any: Displays all the applications with end-user monitoring enabled and disabled.

Importance

Displays the importance assigned to the application. The importance is assigned when the application is created. Select an option from the list below the column title to filter the applications by their importance. Following options are available:

  • High: Displays high-importance applications.
  • Medium: Displays medium-importance applications.
  • Low: Displays low-importance applications.
  • Any: Displays the applications of all importance levels: High, Medium, and Low.

Associated CI

Displays the Configuration Item (CI) associated with the application. A CI can be associated to the application either when you create it or by editing an application configuration. For more information, see Associating-an-application-to-a-service.
