Locating root cause by opening a single session for analysis
To find the root cause of a problem, you analyze individual sessions affected by this problem. For example, when a customer in a certain location has trouble viewing a certain page of your application, you would analyze this particular session rather than find common errors in many sessions.
To open a particular session
- On the Performance Analytics page of the BMC Application Management Console, run a query.
- In the Summary section, click the number of retrieved sessions.
- In the list of sessions matching the query, locate the session that you want to investigate.
- Open the session by performing one of the following actions:
- Click the name of the session.
- From the Action menu for the session, select Open.
The Session Overview pane displays details about the session.
