Adding a Diagnostics Server component

You can add Application Diagnostics Server components to an existing BMC Application Diagnostics system. For example, you can run the Diagnostics Server installation utility on several computers to add Diagnostics Collectors. The BMC Application Diagnostics environment requires one Diagnostics Portal, one or more Diagnostics Collectors, and one APM proxy.

  1. Install a Diagnostics Server component with the installation wizard or as a silent installation.

    Note

    Do not install the same component multiple times on one computer.

  2. If you install a Diagnostics Portal or Collector, change the MySQL root password.
  3. Verify that the component installations are successful.
