Creating a tenant for synthetic transaction monitoring

For each tenant organization that uses synthetic transaction monitoring, you create a tenant account by specifying a Real User Analyzer. Ensure that you associate the tenant with an Analyzer on which the recommended configurations for synthetic monitoring have been implemented, either manually or by implementing Synthetic Device Configuration Pack.

After you create a tenant account, the Agent Policy automatically selects a Real User Collector to collect data from the BMC Synthetic Transaction Execution Adapter (TEA) Agents, according to high availability needs. You can also manually specify a Collector for your TEA Agents.

To designate a specific Collector in the TEA Agent Policy

  1. In the BMC Application Management Console, on the Synthetic tab, click Agent Policy.
  2. From the Action menu, select Edit Agent Policy.
  3. If the Analyzer Type is Real User Analyzer, choose how the Analyzer selects a Collector from which to retrieve data:
    • Automatic enables the Analyzer to retrieve data from one or more associated Collectors, according to availability.
    • Manual assigns a specific Collector to the Analyzer.
If you choose Manual, select a Collector from the list.
  4. Click Save.
