Configuring and managing the Application Diagnostics database and components


This section provides detailed information for administrators about managing BMC Application Diagnostics components and settings to ensure that diagnostics data is available and persisted correctly.

BMC Application Diagnostics includes the following configuration components:

  • Policy files contain the configuration parameters for agents and collectors.
  • Recording files contain instrumentation rules defining what must be recorded and passed to agents.
