Viewing user transaction details
The User Transactions page displays aggregated statistics for all web pages in all of the monitored applications. By default, the User Transactions page displays transactions that occurred during the latest 15 minutes, sorted in descending order by end-to-end time.
To view user transaction details
Perform the following steps to isolate the transactions that you want to view:
- On the Diagnostics tab, select User Transactions.
- Use any combination of the following techniques to filter the list of web pages:
To filter web pages by time range
By default, the time range filter shows user transactions for the most recent 15-minute time period. However, if you set the time range filter for another view in the current session, the time filter reflects the latest settings.
- Under Query Details, in the Time Range area near the top of the page, click Change.
From the Time Range list, select an option, ranging from the Last 15 minutes to Last 7 days.
To define a custom time range that is up to 90 days, perform the following steps:
- Select Customize.
- Select a date from the Start Time and End Time calendars.
- Enter the time in each Hour and Minute box.
- Click Save.
The table displays the entries that met your time filter criteria. - (Optional) Click Refresh to immediately update the time range so that it is relative to the current time.
If you do not click Refresh, the time range is automatically updated every five minutes. Custom time ranges are not automatically refreshed.
To filter web pages by the page summary filter
The page summary filter enables you to view transactions for all pages or those pages that contain only latency violations.
Click the relevant page summary box to display all web pages or only web pages that have transactions with latency violations or errors.
To filter web pages by page metrics and attributes
The column headings in the list of web pages include filters that enable you to filter the list of pages by the values in columns. The following table describes the table content and the rules for filtering web pages:
Name | Description | Filter rules |
---|---|---|
Name | Web page name | Type any portion of the text string. Example: Typing cart restricts the list to all web pages that contain that character string, such a shoppingcart.
|
Application | Application name | |
Transactions | Number of transactions in the web page | Filter the list by numeric values by entering a symbol for the mathematical relationship and an integer.
|
Latency Violations | Number of transactions that exceeded the E2E time threshold for the application in the specified time range | Filter the list by number of violations by entering a symbol for the mathematical relationship and an integer.
|
E2E Time (ms) | Average end-to-end time of the web page transactions during the specified time range | Filter the list by number of milliseconds by entering a symbol for the mathematical relationship and an integer.
