Configuration changes automation


You can automate configuration changes to BMC Real End User Experience Monitoring features by writing a script that accesses configuration APIs.

This section presents script examples that invoke identical system API functions to add a Watchpoint based on a new custom field in the following languages:

For each example, the script performs the following operations:

  1. Initiates a stateful transaction via the transaction API.
  2. Retrieves the Watchpoint via the Watchpoint API.
  3. Adds a custom field via the Custom field API.
  4. Adds a Watchpoint that uses data from the custom field via the Watchpoint API.
  5. Commits the transaction via the transaction API.
