Setting up a pre-logon message on the Console

To display a message to users on the logon page of the BMC Application Management Console, Real User Analyzer, Real User Collector, or Real User Monitor, set up and enable a pre-logon message. The following procedures explain how to set up a pre-logon message for a component.  To perform this procedure, you must have Security-level access. 

To create a pre-logon message on the Console

1. On the Console component interface, go to the System Deployment tab.
2. From the shortcut menu of the Pre-Logon Message section, select Edit Pre-Logon Message.
3. In the Title box, enter the heading for the message.
4. In the Message box, enter the text. The text must be unformatted, that is, without HTML tags.
5. Click Save.

To enable a pre-logon message on the Console

1. On the Console component interface, go to the System Deployment tab.
2. Click the switch in the Pre-Logon Message section.

To create a pre-logon message on an Analyzer or a Collector

1. On the Real User Analyzer interface, select Administration > Security Settings, and then click Services.
2. From the Action menu for the Pre-login message section, select Edit.
3. In the Title box, enter the heading for the message.
4. In the Message box, enter the text. The text must be unformatted, that is, without HTML tags.
5. Click Save.

To enable a pre-logon message on an Analyzer or a Collector

1. On the Real User Analyzer interface, select Administration > Security Settings, and click Services.
2. In the Pre-login message section, click Enable.
