Changing settings of the Diagnostic Agent for .NET

You can change the settings for BMC Application Diagnostics Agent for .NET in the agent.properties file located in the installationDirectory\properties directory.

After making changes directly to this file, you must restart the Agent.

Updating Agent parameters

The following parameters can be updated.

• Portal host / IP and port to which the Agent will connect:

  portal.connection.ip=
  portal.connection.port=

• Portal connection protocol (HTTP or HTTPS). Default is HTTP:

  portal.connection.protocol=

• Application server name to display in the BMC Application Management Console:

  host.display.name=

• Application name to display in the application server:

  application.display.name=

• Tier type (app, web, or business). Default is app:

  application.tier.name=

• Proxy server host and port for outbound connections:

  outbound.http.connection.proxy.host=
  outbound.http.connection.proxy.port=
  

• Keystore path and password:

  key.store.file.name=
  trust.store.file.name=
  key.store.password.enc=
