Running extended reports
The SAP BusinessObjects BI launch pad generates performance and availability reports from BMC Real End User Experience Monitoring Extended Reporting. For a list of Web Intelligence reports that you can run with this component, see Extend-performance-reporting-and-analysis.
The following procedure discusses how to run the default reports in the SAP BusinessObjects BI launch pad. For information about how to create custom reports, see Creating-ad-hoc-reports-in-the-SAP-BusinessObjects-BI-launch-pad.
To run reports in the SAP BusinessObjects BI launch pad
- Log on to the BI launch pad:
- Enter the BI launch pad address into a web browser, such as http://<BusinessObjectsServer>:<portNumber>/BOE/BI.
- At the logon prompt, provide your BusinessObjects user name and password, and click Log On.
- Click the Documents tab.
- In the Folders pane, expand Public Folders and then BMC EUEM - Extended Reports.
- Double-click the title of the report that you want to view.
The report is displayed in the workspace pane. - In the Prompts dialog box, specify criteria for the report by selecting a prompt from the Prompts Summary:
- Application name – Highlight an application name and click the right arrow to select it.
- Time filter – Highlight a period type (such as Custom time range, Last week, Last month) and click the right arrow to select it.
- If you selected Custom time range, define a first and last day for the custom time range.
- To view the report in the BI launch pad, click Run Query.
The data for these reports is specified by an Administrator in the user interface of the Aggregation Server for Extended Reporting. For details, see Setting-up-performance-cubes-for-Extended-Reporting.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
