syslogparams (command)

Remote logging is a utility that uses numerical severity values to log system events.

Logging messages can be sent to a log-collection system that you have configured. For Performance Analytics Engine instances, you cannot configure remote logging through a web interface, so you must use the CLI and the syslogparams command.

Logging levels

You can send a range of logging messages to the log-collection system. By selecting a logging level, you designate the level of severity of the logs that are sent to the log-collection system. Emergency (0) is the highest severity of logs, and debug (7) is the lowest severity. For example, if you select warning (4), only logs with a level of warning or higher (emergency, alert, critical, and error) are sent to the system.
