Enabling the automatic check for updates in the Analyzer and Collector components
You can configure the Real User Analyzer and the Real User Collector components to check automatically for software updates. At logon and regularly after logon, the system checks for available updates. When the system finds updates, you can view the update history or install the updates.
To perform this procedure, you must have Security-level access.
To enable the automatic check for updates (Analyzer and Collector)
- In the Analyzer or Collector interface, point to Administration > Security settings, and click Services.
- In the Device management section, click Enable for Automatic device update checks.
When you log on, and every hour thereafter, the system checks for available firmware and geolocation database releases. If updates are available, the interface displays a message at the top that contains the details link. The link redirects you to the Device update page where you can view the update history or install the updates.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
