Step 2 – Specifying SSL-server-certificate properties

Before everyday users can access the main interface of the the product (and drill down to other component instances) via browser software, you must specify SSL-server-certificate properties. The certificate is self-signed; it uniquely identifies the component instance. As shown in the following figure, the certificate's default common name (CN) is the IP address of the management port of the component. You can select a custom name (for example, the host name — analyzer1.example.com — of the component instance).

You can also specify how long you want the certificate to be valid (in other words, a number of days before it expires). By default, the certificate lifetime is unlimited.
