Uninstalling the TEA Agent


To remove the BMC Synthetic Transaction Execution Adapter (TEA) Agent from your computer, you can use a direct uninstallation process through an interactive wizard or a silent uninstallation process.

To uninstall the Transaction Execution Adapter Agent

  1. Log on to the host computer as a user with administrator privileges.
  2. To start the uninstallation utility, perform one of the following steps:
    • Run uninstall.exe, located by default in the C:\Program Files (x86)\BMC Software\BMCTEAAgent folder.
    • Select to uninstall the agent, named BMC TEA Agent yourName, from the Control Panel item Programs and Features.
  3. On the welcome page of the utility, click Next.
  4. On the feature selection page, select the removal of the Transaction Execution Adapter Agent and click Next.
  5. Click Uninstall to begin the uninstallation.

Verify that the Agent is uninstalled by examining the TEAAgent_uninstall_log.txt file. You can also verify that the service no longer appears in the Windows Services console.

To uninstall the Transaction Execution Adapter Agent silently

  1. Log on to the host computer as a user with administrator privileges.
  2. From a command prompt, run the silent uninstallation from the TEA Agent installation directory using the following command:

    uninstall.exe -i silent -DOPTIONS_FILE=<installationDirectory>TEAAgent-silent-option-uninstall.txt

    By default in the <installationDirectory> is the C:\Program Files (x86)\BMC Software\BMCTEAAgent folder.

Verify that the Agent is uninstalled by examining the TEAAgent_uninstall_log.txt file. You can also verify that the service no longer appears in the Windows Services console.
