Uninstalling the TEA Agent
To remove the BMC Synthetic Transaction Execution Adapter (TEA) Agent from your computer, you can use a direct uninstallation process through an interactive wizard or a silent uninstallation process.
To uninstall the Transaction Execution Adapter Agent
- Log on to the host computer as a user with administrator privileges.
- To start the uninstallation utility, perform one of the following steps:
- Run uninstall.exe, located by default in the C:\Program Files (x86)\BMC Software\BMCTEAAgent folder.
- Select to uninstall the agent, named BMC TEA Agent yourName, from the Control Panel item Programs and Features.
- On the welcome page of the utility, click Next.
- On the feature selection page, select the removal of the Transaction Execution Adapter Agent and click Next.
- Click Uninstall to begin the uninstallation.
Verify that the Agent is uninstalled by examining the TEAAgent_uninstall_log.txt file. You can also verify that the service no longer appears in the Windows Services console.
To uninstall the Transaction Execution Adapter Agent silently
- Log on to the host computer as a user with administrator privileges.
From a command prompt, run the silent uninstallation from the TEA Agent installation directory using the following command:
uninstall.exe -i silent -DOPTIONS_FILE=<installationDirectory>TEAAgent-silent-option-uninstall.txtBy default in the <installationDirectory> is the C:\Program Files (x86)\BMC Software\BMCTEAAgent folder.
Verify that the Agent is uninstalled by examining the TEAAgent_uninstall_log.txt file. You can also verify that the service no longer appears in the Windows Services console.
