Configuration APIs
This section describes how you can configure various features of the system remotely, by using configuration APIs. You compose requests to configuration APIs, by sending an URL with parameters as input. Before you can use configuration APIs, a user with the Security role must enable the configuration APIs via the web interface.
With configuration APIs, you can perform the following tasks:
- Create, modify, and delete Watchpoints
- Create and modify custom fields
- Facilitate remote configuration and updates for SSL keys
- Perform post-installation configuration of multiple system components in a bulk
You perform operations with configuration APIs in the following modes:
- Stateful mode—You must manually initiate and commit operations via the transaction API.
- Stateless mode—System commits each operation automatically but does not permit you to roll back any changes.
