Connecting Oracle to SAP BusinessObjects
Perform the following steps to connect the Oracle database to SAP BusinessObjects.
- From the Microsoft Windows Start menu, select Start > All Programs > SAP BusinessObjects BI platform 4 > SAP BusinessObjects BI platform client > Information Design Tool.
- In the Repository Resources left-hand pane, click Insert Session.
- In the Open session dialog box, enter the following information and click OK.
- System: IP address of the SAP BusinessObjects server
- User Name: Administrator
- Password: Administrator Password
- Authentication: Select Enterprise.
The session host name is added to the tree in the Repository Resources pane.
- Expand the session host name in the Repository Resources pane, expand EUEM, and click ERDW1.
- In the General Information tab for ERDW1, click Edit.
- In the Edit Relational Connection dialog box, enter the following information.
- Authentication Mode: Select Use specified username and pasword.
- User Name: biuser
- Password: Password
- Service: Select erdw1.
The session host name is added to the tree in the Repository Resources pane.
- Click Test Connection.
- After the connection is verified, click Close and then Finish.
