Uploading cryptographic key files

To process encrypted traffic, you must upload the appropriate cryptographic keys (so called SSL keys) to the system. To perform this procedure, you must have Security-level access.

Before you begin

Ensure that the following conditions are met:

  • The key file is available on your network or the local computer that you use to browse the web interface of this device.
  • The key file is in DER, PEM, or PFX format.

To upload a cryptographic key

  1. In the Real User Collector component, point to Administration > Security settings, and then click Key management.
  2. On the Action menu, click Add new key.
  3. In the Key name box, enter the name for the key.
A key name must start with an alphanumerical character (letter or number). It can contain up to 60 ASCII-printable characters. Valid characters include letters, numbers, dashes, underscores, and periods.
     For example, MyKey.
  4. In the Description box, enter a description for the key, such as Key for decrypting my traffic.
  5. Click Browse and locate the key file (for example, 1_cryptoKey.pem), and then click OK.
  6. In the Password box, the password for the key file (for example, crypt0pa$$).

    Note

Key passwords can contain up to 255 ASCII-printable characters.

  7. Click Save.
