Monitoring Cloud Probe instances


Real User Collector and Real User Monitor components might have Real User Cloud Probe associated with them.

From the Console interface, you can perform the following actions with Cloud Probe instances:

  • Monitor statistics of Cloud Probes that are associated with the component.
  • Reset statistics data of Cloud Probes monitoring.
  • Delete Cloud Probe's association with the component.

To monitor the Cloud Probes statistics

  1. In the Application Performance Management Console, open System Deployment > Components page.
  2. In the table of of components, select the Real User Collector or the Real User Monitor instance, which has one or more Cloud Probes associated:

  3. On the component details page, you can monitor the statistics of the Cloud Probes associated with this component:
    • Name — Cloud Probe name
    • Type — component type (cloud-probe)
    • Network Loss, Hits — amount of traffic that is not reaching the destination or is being lost due to network capacity.
    • Network Loss, Hits-Last 5 min — amount of traffic that is not reaching the destination or is being lost due to network capacity during last five minutes
    • Last Heartbeat  — the last time that Cloud Probe sent its heartbeat to the Collector:
      • Green color means that the Cloud Probe is up and running.
      • Red color means that the Cloud Probe is down. The date and time marker indicates the moment it was disconnected.
  4. You can perform the following actions on this page:

    • Reset the statistics for a Cloud Probe:

To view Cloud Probe statistics refreshed in real time, reset the statistics (by selecting Reset Cloud Probe Network Statistics from the context menu) and wait for five minutes for the server to refresh data.

Previously collected statistics data will be lost, and you will be able to see the recent statistics refreshed in a real time.


    • Delete Cloud Probe's association with the component:

Find the Cloud Probe in the list, and select Delete Cloud Probe from the context menu.

The system does not entirely delete or uninstall the Cloud Probe instance but only removes its association with the Real User Collector or the Real User Monitor component.


    • Export Cloud Probe's statistics data to comma-separated format (CSV file):

Find the Cloud Probe in the list and select Export Cloud Probe Local Statistics from the context menu.
