Managing components
The launch point for the BMC Real End User Experience Monitoring is the BMC Application Performance Management Console.
For the capture and analysis of the traffic data, the Console uses the following components:
- Real User Collector
- Real User Analyzer
- Real User Monitor
- Real User Cloud Probe
- Performance Analytics Engine

To monitor components status
On the System Deployment menu of the Console, click Components.
The list of components opens. Here you can monitor the following parameters:
- Component — component name. For Real User Collector components, you will also see the statistics on the related Cloud Probes.
- Type — one of the component types:
- analyzer — Real User Analyzer
- collector — Real User Collector
- monolithic — Real User Monitor
- traffic-server — Performance Analytics Engine
- Status — one of the options:
- OK — The connection is established.
- ERROR — the component was not added correctly or the component is down or there is a connection error between Console and the component.
- UNKNOWN — The Console is trying to establish a connection to the component.
- IP/DNS Name:Port — component IP address or DNS Name and port
- Traffic Processing — number of requests processed by the component per second (during the last five minutes period)
- Discarded Traffic— number of requests discarded by the component per second (during the last five minutes period), according to one or more of the following reasons:
- Traffic capture problem
- Broken hits

To delete a component from the Console
- On the System Deployment menu of the Console, click Components.
- On the configuration menu for the component, select Delete component.
The component is disconnected from the Console. To connect it to the Console, see Adding-components-to-the-Console.
