Setting up a pre-logon message
You can set up a pre-logon message, which the users see on the logon page. The following procedures explain how to set up a pre-logon message on the system components. To perform this procedure, you must have Security-level access.
To create a pre-logon message on the Console
- On the Console component interface, go to the System Deployment tab.
- From the shortcut menu of the Pre-Logon Message section, select Edit Pre-Logon Message.
- In the Title box, enter the heading for the message.
- In the Message box, enter the text. The text must be unformatted, that is, without HTML tags.
- Click Save.
To enable a pre-logon message on the Console
- On the Console component interface, go to the System Deployment tab.
- Click the switch in the Pre-Logon Message section.
To create a pre-logon message on the Analyzer or Collector
- On the Real User Analyzer interface, select Administration > Security Settings, and then click Services.
- From the Action menu for the Pre-login message section, select Edit.
- In the Title box, enter the heading for the message.
- In the Message box, enter the text. The text must be unformatted, that is, without HTML tags.
- Click Save.
To enable a pre-logon message on the Analyzer or Collector
- On the Real User Analyzer interface, select Administration > Security Settings, and click Services.
- In the Pre-login message section, click Enable.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
