Watchpoints licensing

The BMC Real End User Experience Monitoring license limits every BMC customer account to certain number of Watchpoints that can be used per Real User Analyzer instance.

Example

If your account is limited to 20 Watchpoints per Real User Analyzer instance, and you have three Analyzer instances, the total number of available Watchpoints is 60.

On the BMC Application Performance Management Console, you will see three numbers that indicate current state:

  • Total licensed — total number of licensed Watchpoints
  • Used — number of Watchpoints in use
  • Free — number of available Watchpoints

If you ran out of Watchpoints licensed to your account, you have two options of moving forward:

  • Clean up some of the existing Watchpoints to free space for the new ones. This action is irreversible.
  • Buy more Watchpoint credits.
