instance possible, you must add it to the Console.

Before you begin

If you want to use the DNS hostname of your component instances (rather than the IP address), you must set DNS parameters on the Console before adding components to it.

To add a component instance to the Console

Example

The IP address of the component instance is 10.160.1.63, the Security user name is ITSec, and the password is mypa$$w0rd.

  1. On the menu of the Administration page of the Console, click Component Management > Configuration.
  2. On the Action menu, click Add Component.
  3. In IP/DNS Name, type 10.160.1.63.
  4. Accept the default value of 443 in Port.
  5. In User Name, type ITSec.
  6. In Password, type mypa$$w0rd.
  7. Click Save.

The instance is now added to the Console. It can be observed at the Configuration page.
