Console elements


The console interface has the following interface elements:

Tabs

Tabs display the main feature areas of the product. Clicking a tab displays the features associated with it.

Menus

After you select a tab, the menu displays the elements of the console or plug-in. Menus can cascade to provide additional commands related to the selected command.

Buttons

Click the following buttons to navigate the interface, display commands on Action menus and shortcut menus, and access any page's Help file.

Scroll button

If all the panels within a carousel are not visible within your browser window, use the Scroll button to pan left and right.

When you place the pointer over the Action menu button, it displays the action options available as menu commands on the current page. The example shows the options for the Administration page.

Shortcut menu button

Shortcut menus are associated to the list of accounts on the Accounts page or the list of components on the Configuration page.

Handles

Handles enable you to drag and drop elements to a new position.

Click the drag-and-drop handle and drag its object to a new location:

  • Rows within a dashboard
  • Dashlets within a row
  • Dashlets from one row to another
  • Dashlets to the the dashboard

Switches

Depending on your role, you can use switches to enable or disable an element.

Enabled and clickable

Displays the element as enabled. Click the switch to disable the element.

Displays the element as disabled. Click the switch to enable the element.

Displays the element as enabled. The switch is not clickable because your role does not permit you to change it.

Displays the element as disabled. The switch is not clickable because your role does not permit you to change it.

Panels and carousel

A panel groups together related information and is displayed on the carousel.

Pagination control

This control appears on the Status, Configuration, and Accounts pages. You can use the pagination control to quickly browse through a long list of accounts or components. The default list length is 20 items per page.

Launch point

You can click a launch point icon to drill down to an Analyzer. Launch points are located on the Home tab. There is no launch points to drill down to Collectors.
