Configuring the CMDB connection

Before you can start associating Watchpoints with configuration items (CIs), you must set up the connection with the BMC Atrium CMDB server.

To configure the CMDB connection

1. Log on to the BMC Application Performance Management Console as a user with permission to perform configuration (Operator role or above).
    For more information about roles and permissions, see User-permissions.
2. Click the Administration tab.
3. On the navigation menu, click CMDB.
4. On the CMDB server information Action menu, click Edit CMDB Information.
5. In the displayed fields, enter or edit the following information required for connecting to BMC Atrium CMDB:
   The [confluence_table-plus] macro is a standalone macro and it cannot be used inline.
   
6. If you want to test the connection to BMC Atrium CMDB based on the connection details that you entered, click Test Connection.
7. Click Save.
