Uploading cryptographic key files
To process encrypted traffic, you must upload the appropriate cryptographic keys (so called SSL keys) to the system.
Before you begin
Ensure that the following conditions are met:
- The key file is available on your network or the local computer that you use to browse the web interface of this device.
- The key file is in DER, PEM, or PFX format.
To upload a cryptographic key
- In the component, point to Administration > Security settings, and then click Key management.
- On the Action menu, click Add new key.
- In the Key name box, enter the name for the key.
A key name must start with an alphanumerical character (letter or number). It can contain up to 60 ASCII-printable characters. Valid characters include letters, numbers, dashes, underscores, and periods.
For example, MyKey. - In the Description box, enter a description for the key, such as Key for decrypting my traffic.
- Click Browse and locate the key file (for example, 1_cryptoKey.pem), and then click OK.
In the Password box, the password for the key file (for example, crypt0pa$$).
- Click Save.
Result
The new key is uploaded and appears in the Keys view. Now you can enable this key.
