Grouping geo locations into zone templates

A zone is a geographic area that you configure based on a system zone template (such as North America (Western), Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe etc.). For example, you might define a zone for Western North America that monitors only the states of Washington, Oregon, and California.

The macro unmigrated-inline-wiki-markup from Confluence is no longer available.

provides basic zone templates for major geographic regions, such as continents, which contain smaller areas. Areas within a zone template can be countries, states, provinces, cities, or metro-regional areas. To monitor traffic in a specific geographic area, you must configure a zone, using the zone template that contains it.

For example, if you want to monitor traffic from New England, you must configure a zone using the North American (Eastern) template and select some of the following areas:

  • Maine
  • New Hampshire
  • Massachusetts
  • Connecticut
  • Vermont
