Specifying the components to update
When you update components configured in the
, you might want to update only certain components. For this, you must associate each component with a component group, so that during the update process when you select the groups, all components that these groups contain will be updated. For example, to update all components of the same type, assign them to one group. When you select this group for update, the system updates all components that this group contains. Although the Operator role can define component groups, only the Administrator and Security roles can perform the update.To add a component to a subsystem
- In the interface, go to System Deployment > Components > Configuration.
- Perform one of the following actions:
- To add a new component, in the Action menu, click Add Component.
- To edit an existing component, in the Action menu for the component, click Edit Component.
- In the Component Group field, enter the name for the subsystem to which you want to add the component.
By default, Main System is specified in the Component Group field, but you can edit it.
When you select this group during the update process, the system upgrades all components that this group contains.
