Uninstalling the TEA Agent


To remove the BMC Synthetic Transaction Execution Adapter (TEA) Agent from your computer, you can use a direct uninstallation process through an interactive wizard.

To uninstall the Transaction Execution Adapter Agent

  1. Log on to the host computer as a user with administrator privileges.
  2. To start the uninstallation utility, perform one of the following steps:
    • Run uninstall.exe, located by default in the C:\Program Files (x86)\BMC Software\BMCSyntheticTransactionExecutionAdapter folder.
    • Select to uninstall the agent, named BMC TEA Agent yourName, from the Control Panel item Programs and Features.
  3. On the welcome page of the utility, click Next.
  4. On the feature selection page, select the removal of the Transaction Execution Adapter Agent and click Next.
  5. Click Uninstall to begin the uninstallation.

Verify that the Agent is uninstalled by examining the bmcsynthetictransactionexecutionadapter_uninstall_log.txt file. You can also verify that the service no longer appears in the Windows Services console.
