Configuring the NTP for the Real User Cloud Probe
Before you install the Real User Cloud Probe, use the following procedure to ensure that the network time protocol (NTP) is synchronized between the Real User Collector and the Cloud Probe:
In the Real User Collector, set the system time.
You need Operator-level access to the Collector.
- Where the Cloud Probe will be installed, log in to the virtual machine as root.
- To synchronize the time between the Collector and the Cloud Probe hosts, run the ntpdate command. For example, run the following command to synchronize using an NTP pool:
ntpdate -u rhel.pool.ntp.org
Repeat the command, if necessary, until the offset parameter displays a value close to 0. - To start the NTP service, run the following command: service ntpd start
