Managing tenant access

Multi-tenancy support enables service providers to offer Application Performance Management to their customers as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering. When setting up a tenant account, the Administrator or Security user also creates an Access Manager for the tenant. To set up tenants requires the completion of the following steps:

  1. The Administrator or the Security user creates a tenant account and a tenant Access Manager user who manages access to the Console for tenant users.
  2. The tenant Access Manager creates tenant user accounts (either manually or through LDAP). The tenant Access Manager can also assign the tenant Access Manager role to another user.
  3. Tenant users log on to their tenant instance of the SaaS version of the product.

Note

The tenant Access Manager and tenant user are not system roles. These are special roles for BMC Application Performance Management as a Service.
