Setting the local time zone

The default time zone of the Application Performance Management Console is the time zone of the box where it runs. The default time zone of the Real User Analyzer is UTC-5:00 (Eastern Time in the Universal Coordinated Time system, or UTC). You can adjust the system clock for the system to display all the date and time selectors in your local time zone.

Note

Changing a component's time zone does not affect the time stamps of raw data.

To set the local time zone on the Console

  1. In the BMC Application Performance Management Console interface, click System Deployment.
  2. In the shortcut menu for the Integration section, select Edit Time Zone.
  3. In the Time Zone list, select the time zone that you want the Console component to use.
  4. Click Save.

The system updates the time zone settings and displays the time zone in the top right corner. Additionally, all metrics in the system that related to time, display in the selected time zone.

To set the local time zone on the Analyzer

  1. In the Real User Analyzer interface, point to Administration > Integration, and click Timekeeping (NTP and time zone).
  2. In the Time zone section, on the Action menu, click Edit.
  3. From the Select time zone list, select your time zone — for example, (GMT-08:00) Pacific Time (US, Canada), Tijuana.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 for the Real User Collector.

The clock shows time in GMT-8:00 (Pacific Time) for both system components.
