Configuring network identity settings on the Console
For the Console component to integrate with other devices in the network, the Administrator role configures the network identity settings.
- In the Application Performance Management Console interface, go to System Deployment.
- In the Action menu for the Network identity section, select Edit Network Identity.
- In the Device Host Name box, enter the host name for the device.
- In the Preferred DNS Server IP box, enter the IP address of the DNS server that you want to use.
- (Optional) In the Alternate DNS Server IP box, enter the IP address of the alternative DNS server for the system to use.
- In the Domain Name Suffix box, enter the name suffix for your network appliances (for example, example.com).
- Click Save.
The system updates your DNS server settings.
