Network identity (DNS)
To interoperate with external network appliances that use host names instead of IP addresses, such as time servers, SMTP servers, or SNMP servers, you must set up a domain name system (DNS) client for the device.
Configuring the network identity settings for the BMC Application Performance Management Console is described in a separate topic.
Configuring DNS client settings for the Analyzer component includes the following procedures:
