Configuring system alerts

The system can alert users via email or Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) traps when certain system events occur (for example, cryptographic key fails or when the system restarts after an update). The following topics provide information and instructions about working with system alerts:

You can configure alerts on the Analyzer and Collector components, but a Collector component sends alerts only if there is no Real User Analyzer connected to it, or when accepting alerts from the Collector is disabled on the Analyzer & Collectors management page of the Analyzer. Otherwise, its alerts are channeled  through the associated Analyzer components.
