iSeries KM menu commands

In PATROL console, menu commands (KM commands) are options to configure the knowledge module and discover iSeries components. Right-click an object to access its menu commands. The following topics describe the menus used in PATROL for iSeries:

iSeries (AKN_REMOTE) application menu

The following menu commands are available in the iSeries (AKN_REMOTE) application class. To access this menu, right-click the iSeries node and select KM Commands.

Menu command	Action
Configure Remote Hosts	Displays the Configure-iSeries-Hosts-dialog-box. Allows you to perform the following actions: Add a remote host for monitoring Modify the details of a remote host after you add the host Remove a remote host to stop monitoring of the host
Configure JAVA	Enables you to set the Java home directory for your own Java Runtime Environment (JRE) if you are not using the JRE that is installed in the %patrol_home% directory.
Debug	Allows you to enable (On) or disable (Off) the debug.

ACTJOBS (AKN_ACTJOBS) application menu

The following menu commands are available in the AKN_ACTJOBS application class. To access this menu, right-click the ACTJOBS node and select KM Commands.

Menu command	Action
Configure Active Jobs	Enables you to configure active jobs on a given host.
Set Job CPU Thresholds	Specify the percent CPU usage above which a job should be listed in the List Jobs Above CPU Threshold report. Enter a value between 0.0 and 100.0, inclusive.
List Jobs Above CPU Threshold	Display the list of jobs with CPU usage above the threshold specified in the Set Job CPU Threshold dialog box. Note: A valid value (value between 0.0 and 100.0, inclusive) must be specified in the Set Job Cpu Threshold field in the Active Jobs configuration to view this report.
List Top Ten Jobs by CPU Usage	Display a list of the ten jobs with the highest CPU usage.

AKN_ACTIVE_JOB_AGGR application menu

Menu command	Action
List Qualifying Jobs	Lists the individual jobs in a group of several jobs that are monitored with a single job ID.

MSGQ (AKN_MSGQ_CNTR) application menu

The following menu commands are available in the AKN_MSGQ application class. To access this menu, right-click the MSGQ node and select KM Commands.

Menu command	Action
Configure Message Queue	Enables you to configure message queues on a given host. After you configure a message queue you can configure the message selection criteria.

MSGQ <name> (AKN_MSGQ) application menu

Menu command	Action
Configure Search Criteria	Enables you to configure message queue search criteria on a given host.
List Matched Messages	Generates a report of the messages that match the defined search criteria.
Configure Single Match	Enables you to match the messages according to the priority as defined in the Search Criteria List for Prioritization field.

QHST (AKN_QHST) application menu

The following menu commands are available in the AKN_QHST application class. To access this menu, right-click the QHST node and select KM Commands.

Menu command	Action
Configure History Log	Enables you to configure history logs on a given host.
Configure Search Criteria	Enables you to configure history logs search criteria on a given host.
List System Value Changes	Displays all the system value change messages that have been saved. It stores the system value change messages up to 30 days.
List Critical Abended Jobs	Displays the messages of critical jobs that ended abnormally and have been saved. It stores the messages up to 7 days. Critical jobs are those job name and user ID combinations that you specify as critical.
List Abnormally Ended Jobs	Displays all the abnormally ended job messages that have been saved. It stores the messages up to 7 days.

OUTQ (AKN_OUTQ_CNTR) application menu

The following menu commands are available in the AKN_OUTQ_CNTR application class. To access this menu, right-click the OUTQ node and select KM Commands.

Menu command	Action
Configure Output Queue	Enables you to configure output queues on a given host.
Exclude Output Queue	Enables you to exclude ouput queues from monitoring.

SCHJOBS (AKN_SCHJOBS_CNTR) application menu

The following menu commands are available in the AKN_SCHJOBS_CNTR application class. To access this menu, right-click the SCHJOBS node and select KM Commands.

Menu command	Action
Configure Scheduled Jobs	Enables you to configure scheduled jobs on a given host.
Exclude Scheduled Jobs	Enables you to exclude scheduled jobs from monitoring.

SUBSYS (AKN_SUBSYS) application menu

The following menu commands are available in the AKN_SUBSYS application class. To access this menu, right-click the SUBSYS node and select KM Commands.

Configure Subsystems	Enables you to configure subsystems on a given host.

OBJECTS (AKN_OBJECTS) application menu

The following menu commands are available in the AKN_OBJECTS application class. To access this menu, right-click the OBJECTS node and select KM Commands.

JOBQ (AKN_JOBQ) application menu

The following menu commands are available in the AKN_JOBQ application class. To access this menu, right-click the JOBQ node and select KM Commands.
