Accessing an application instance


For information about how to access an application instance from a particular console, click the appropriate link:

PATROL Central Operator – Windows Edition
  1. In the navigation pane, expand a managed system. 
  2. To view the application instances, expand an application class.  
PATROL Console for Microsoft Windows

Use one of the following methods:

  • In the Desktop tree tab

    1. Expand the appropriate computer class and double-click the application class that you want from the displayed list of application classes.
    2. Select the application instance.
  • In the work area

    1. Double-click the appropriate computer class and double-click the application class in the new window that PATROL opens.
    2. Select the application instance.
PATROL Console for UNIX
  1. In the work area, double-click the appropriate computer class, and then double-click the application class in the new window that PATROL opens.
  2. Select the application instance. 
PATROL Central Operator – Web Edition
  1. In the tree view area, expand a managed system. 
    PATROL lists the top-level application classes that are running on that system.
  2. To view application instances, expand an application class. 
    PATROL lists application containers and application instances, depending on the architecture of the application object that you selected.
