Monitoring remote hosts

PATROL KM for UNIX supports monitoring of remote hosts running Secure Shell (SSH) protocol version 2 (SSH2) by using the PATROL Script Language (PSL) collection method. The same set of parameters are used to collect information for the local host as well as the remote host.

Note

When HP-UX computers with the earlier versions of OpenSSH are added as remote hosts, they might get disconnected frequently because of OpenSSH earlier version, which impacts monitoring of the remote hosts. To avoid this, upgrade to the version 5.3 of OpenSSH.

For information about the PSL collection method and local host monitoring, see PSL Collection Method.
